A White Historian Explores Black Voting Rights

--with Susan Strasser.  

A special presentation on the historical restriction of voting and its place within a larger system of racist laws and customs.

The presentation will use nearly sixty images and maps will survey this history, with emphasis on Reconstruction and the early 1960s, as well as recent attacks on the right to vote.

Historian Susan Strasser seeks to serve people grappling with contemporary issues of race and racism. This is the third of a series of illustrated talks, "A White Historian Reads Black History." 

Presented on Zoom by the Peace and Social Justice Committee over two nights – Oct 5 and 6 at 7:00 p.m.  You must register in advance for this meeting.
