Friendly Eights @ BFM

Adult Friendly Eights groups are informal evening gatherings for a simple meal (usually potluck) and fellowship in homes of members and attenders. The dinners are held at 6:30 PM on the 3rd or 4th Sundays of October, November, January, February, March, and April . Participants take turns hosting the gatherings. You may sign up for as many or as few of the gatherings as you wish. Initial registration takes place in September. There will be another opportunity in January for new sign-ups and for revising your September sign-up for the final three gatherings of the season.

Family Friendly Eights offers a mix of traditional potlucks in Friends' homes, dinners in casual restaurants and picnics when the weather is nice. Families gather the 3 rd or 4 th Saturdays of October, November, January, February, March, and April . All families with children 13 years of age or younger currently listed in the directory will be invited by e-mail (E-vite) to these events early in each month.

Since part of the fun of Friendly Eights is getting to know others in the Meeting better, we're hoping for lots of new participants in addition to those who have participated before.

To accommodate all kinds of schedules, we're encouraging Adults who don't feel able to commit to all gatherings to sign up for only as many as they feel able to attend. Also, please indicate if you are unable to host, if you prefer to sign up as an alternate to be invited to fill an unexpected vacancy, and if you cannot receive information pertaining to dinners (schedules, etc) as e-mail attachments.

To sign up by e-mail, please copy and paste the appropriate sign-up form (for Adults or Families) below and email it, filled out, to friendly8s@bethesdafriends.org . Alternatively, you may print the completed form and put it into the Friendly Eights committee pouch at the bottom of the stairs of the Meeting House.
