Childcare for children under five is available every First Day during 11 a.m. Meeting for Worship, and as needed for the first First Day of each month for Meeting for Worship for Business and for special events.
The "under fives" room is staffed by an early childhood professional plus one or two parent volunteers. Our goal is to have a ratio of caretakers to children of at least one to five. Depending on the number ages of children in child care on a given day, a parent may be requested to stay. Children's activities include playdough, doll corner, stories, and blocks, and crackers are served. The "under fives" room opens at 10:45 a.m. and closes promptly at 12:20 p.m. each First Day, with other times arranged as needed.
When child care is needed for Meeting for Worship for Business or for special events, please call Karen Banks at least two weeks in advance to let her know the dates child care is needed and the number of children there will be.
