Camp Catoctin Report
Navigation Map August 2009

Our Catoctin Camping Weekend was from June 6 to 9, 2009. We had a wonderful time! The weather, after a rainy start on Friday, was beautiful. There were nine families represented and an age span covering three generations. Only two of the families who signed up could not make it.

Saturday's activities included newt catching, hiking, and canoeing. Saturday evening was very cozy around the lodge fire with Bernie Benson and his son John leading the singing with their guitars.

Sunday was another beautiful day. Meet-ing for worship was held by the pond. After a generous potluck of leftovers, most families had to head back to the city. The Grimms and Capons, with Jack Inman, stayed over for one more night and a last chance for early morning canoeing before heading home at noon time.

   Total number of participants: 27
