| Queries for 2011 Spiritual State of Meeting | ||
![]() |
8 January 2012 As it begins to prepare the annual Spiritual State of the Meeting (SSOM) report, the Ministry and Worship Committee hopes that members and attenders will take time to consider the questions that follow and respond in writing. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to send their written responses by email to SSOMrept@bethesdafriends.org, or to give them to co-Clerks Peirce Hammond or Liz Hofmeister. Again this year the committee also will be discussing the queries with their tablemates at the February potluck. 1. What have you found most helpful in your spiritual development at BFM? What has enabled you to expand your sense of Quaker values and to deepen your spiritual life? 2. What are we doing to build a stronger spiritual community? What could we be doing better? 3. How can we better provide occasions through the First Day School curriculum/program as well as general activities in the Meeting to help our children to understand and grow in what it means to be a Quaker? 4. What could the Meeting be doing better to provide opportunities for those who come to BFM to know one another and to feel they have the support of a community? Last year's SSOM report can be read here. | |
